Collective Bargaining

White Pine County recognizes that employees form the basis for the services we deliver. A solid foundation between employee and employer is essential to recruiting and retaining the high quality employees necessary. To that end the County recognizes the two bargaining units  that are listed below (with links to the current agreements with them):

  • THE INTERNATIONAL UNION OF OPERATING ENGINEERS LOCAL UNION NO. 3, AFL-CIO
    • This Agreement is entered into as of July 1, 2021 between the County of White Pine, Nevada, hereinafter referred to as the "County” and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 3, AFL-CIO, hereinafter referred to as the "Union." It is the intent and purpose of the Agreement to assure sound and mutually beneficial working and economic relationships between the parties hereto, to provide an orderly and peaceful means of resolving any misunderstandings or differences which may arise, and to set forth herein, pursuant to the provisions of NRS 288 the basic and full agreement between the parties concerning rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment. For the purpose of this Agreement, wherever the authority of the Commissioners is referenced, their designate will be appropriate for substitution.
  • THE WHITE PINE COUNTY SHERIFF'S EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION
    • This Agreement is entered into as of July 1, 2022, between the County of White Pine, Nevada, hereinafter referred to as the "County," and the White Pine County Sheriff's Employees Association, hereinafter referred to as the "Association." It is the intent and purpose of this Agreement to assure sound and mutually beneficial working and economic relationships between the parties hereto, to provide an orderly and peaceful means of resolving any misunderstandings or differences which may arise, and to set forth herein, pursuant to the provisions of the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 288, the basic and full agreement between parties concerning rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment. For the purposes of this Agreement, wherever the authority of the Sheriff is referenced, his/her designee will be appropriate for substitution.
