Management and Control of Invasive and Noxious weeds throughout
White Pine, Lincoln, and Nye Counties. The program is funded
entirely by contracts with landowners in the three county area.
Control efforts include herbicide applications, managed livestock
grazing for weed control, and restoration of areas heavily infested
with invasive weed populations. Other efforts include assistance
with the formation of community Cooperative Weed Management
Associations (CWMA’s), public education about the invasive weed
problem and management tools and assistance with grant applications
for funding weed management programs.
