The Sheriff's Department is the only full service Law Enforcement Agency in White Pine County. It is staffed with an elected Sheriff, 32 full-time and two part-time positions. The Sheriff's Dept. contracts Law Enforcement to the City of Ely and is a charter member of the Eastern Nevada Narcotics Enforcement Task Force.
